The Urban Shave is a barber shop at 1045 E 9th St, Lockport, IL 60441, operating as a registered assumed name of Frosted Fades, Inc. This policy explains what we collect when you book an appointment with us, and what we do with it.
What we collect
When you book an appointment on this website, we collect your name and mobile phone number, along with the service, barber, date and time you chose. If you have visited before, we keep a record of your past appointments so the shop knows your history.
We do not collect payment information on this website. You pay at the counter when you come in, and card payments are handled by the shop's own card terminal, not by us.
Text messages
We use your mobile number to send you messages about your own appointment only:
- a confirmation when you book,
- a reminder before your appointment,
- a short follow-up after your visit.
Message frequency: you can expect roughly three to four messages per appointment you book. We do not send recurring marketing blasts, and we do not text people who have not booked with us.
Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's standard charges apply to messages you send and receive.
To stop: reply STOP to any message and you will not receive another one. Reply HELP for help. You can still book appointments after opting out — we will simply confirm them with you in person or by phone instead.
We do not share your mobile number
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell, rent, trade or otherwise disclose your phone number to anyone for their own use.
The only third party that ever touches your number is the messaging provider that delivers our texts on our behalf (Twilio), and it may only use it to deliver those messages. No mobile information is shared with any party for marketing purposes, and text message opt-in data is never shared with anyone.
How long we keep it
We keep your appointment record for as long as you remain a customer, so the shop can see your history and preferences. Ask us to delete your record at any time and we will, using the contact details below.
Who can see your details
Your full name and phone number are visible only to the shop owner. Barbers see a shortened version of your name for their own appointments — enough to greet you correctly — and never your phone number.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not use advertising cookies and does not track you across other websites. The booking pages store your choices in your own browser only while you are booking.
Children
We welcome kids in the shop, but appointments should be booked by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13.
